Children could confidently talk about their RE unit and their learning.
Children said they enjoy RE and enjoy producing work in creative ways.
Children have enjoyed learning about wider world religions as lots of this is new learning.
Children could talk about key vocabulary within their unit and explain what this meant.

Spelling of key words such as 'resurrection' are being picked up on and corrected.
Ensure children know the basics of stories/festivals they look at before adding more complex information to this.

Children had a good knowledge and understanding of the Re units taught this half term.
Children were able to talk around the big questions for both units covered this year.
Children like oracy opportunities based around the big questions and like the opportunity to speak in pairs and small groups.
Children love it when they get the opportunity to be creative in RE through drama, hit seating and art opportunities linked with their RE learning.
Children love it when they get to watch Bible stories come alive through videos alongside the text as it really helps them to understand the Bible story.
Children stated that they love RE and are ‘proud to be Curriculum Champions for All Saints’ as they feel that it is a spiritual school and that Jesus/God are all around us as we let our light shine.’
Children love it when Prags comes into school.

Children would like more opportunities to complete RE activities outside utilizing the school grounds.
Children would like to use the Prayer garden outside more and make it an even more special place to be by planting flowers there and making it a real focal point of the outside space at school.
Use the outdoor classroom and the reading chair to share Bible stories.
Children would like more visits and visitors linked with RE- they would like to visit a Buddhist temple etc.
Children love it when PRAGS comes in but would love to have visitors from other faiths to help them understand more about the faith.
Children would like to go into church more as part of RE- Year 1 would like to have an actual Baptism in church using a doll as the baby and the real font in church.
Reverend Toby could join in with RE lessons a little more to help the children to understand his faith as a Christian and also as a Christian leader.

Children are developing an in-depth knowledge of the bible and key bible stories. Good knowledge of key people in the bible but also people within our world who show kindness and emulate Jesus and the way that he led his life such as, Mother Teresa. Children were able to discuss and recall other faiths which we study within school and how that faith is similar/ different to our faith. Children recorded down questions linked to current or prior RE learning and Christianity/other faiths in general which show a real curiosity around RE within school. Children were able to recognise how RE helps them to understand different people (Different faiths, cultures) ensuring that there is no prejudice within school. They feel that they have a good developing understanding of other faiths. Children made the link between the Bible and the Christian values we follow within school.
EBI:
The children would like the opportunity to taste more foods linked to other religions and cultures when they are covered in class. The children would like more opportunities for drama, hot seating and role play as it helps to bring Bible stories to life and helps them to understand the stories and more about the characters. More visits from Reverend Toby linked to their RE learning .Visits from the Jewish faith so that the whole school can learn more about this faith.
